Adrien Brody in The Darjeeling Limited
« gardening and new windows nightmares »

I spend a couple of hours on this hot sleepy Sunday painting a portrait of Adrien Brody from The Darjeeling Limited. I’ve been wanting to paint this since I watched the film a second time. I’m a fan of people with interesting faces, so this was very enjoyable to paint, and it went about one hundred times easier than my portrait of Christina Ricci. I was in the zone.

Wonderful portrait. He has a bit of Buster Keaton in him.

Thanks, Susan! I had to go look up who Buster Keaton was, but yes I can see the resemblance!

Splendid portrait. He has such an odd face, strangely adolescent on his grown man’s body.
