Phew, this weekend I put in more hours on this painting then I had since I started too many months ago, and it’s done. Weee!

Tender image, interesting perspective & lighting, & what a story of its loss & recovery! I once discovered a hole in my coat pocket… when I investigated I found all sorts of things had slipped into the hem of the coat unbeknownst to me, including Valentine’s candy from the year before! That hole must have been growing for some time!

This is really wonderful. Love the mood, the lighting, the perspective and the subject is very sweet. So do you paint in Photoshop? You do such a fantastic job!
I have so many similar stories about losing things in my ginormous purse, it isn’t even funny anymore. So I can very much relate. So glad you found it, I know how it can be to have to start over.

I only paint digitally now because of the speed and ease of the medium, it’s very forgiving, and easiest to send to clients or the printer when it’s done. I use a Wacom tablet so that the motions are similar to using a brush or pencil.
Purses shouldn’t eat things!
