mission beautify smile: complete

Cosmetic Dental Work

Back in May of this year, I started having cosmetic dental work done to create the beautiful smile that I always wanted. Yesterday I finished with the last step, I’m done, it’s pretty, I’m happy.

I’m grateful for being in this stage of my life, where I can change the things that I am unhappy about. I am totally behind cosmetic procedures because I truly believe they can change people’s lives for the better.

I believe, as I do with a lot of things, that it is ok in moderation. But I believe many people (especially celebrities – i.e., ashlee simpson, joan rivers, pamela lee, etc) can take it too far, and it takes away from who they were. They lose personality and look like someone they aren’t.

But some dentistry work, etc., could be very beneficial and i’m happy for you!

I could really do with some permanent hair removal procedures and whitening on my teeth.

Rachel, I agree that it can be taken too far. And, I think it’s important to do it for yourself, and not because of society or your peers judging you. Sometimes I feel sorry for celebrities, they are under such scrutiny and pressure, their lives are not their own.

You should totally do the permanent hair removal, I think it’s worth every penny!

i agree with rach about some people taking it too far. i would never do it because, well i’m not much of a risk-taker. frankly i’m a wimp.

I am a bit of a wimp that way too. I’m even scared of having lasik eye surgery. We’re overdue an earthquake here and I keep wondering how blind I’d get if it happened in the middle of my surgery. I’m completely neurotic that way.

Lisa, hmm an earthquake in the middle of surgery would be problematic. I’ve never thought of that! hahaha

I am all for changing something that you don’t like about yourself if it will improve your confidence. I do also agree if you start turning into a whole new person that’s a bit ridiculous.

Being a slave to beauty fix up’s is a little ridiculous, but in moderation, yeah why not. Although I’m bloody scared to go in for anything myself, I think permanent hair removal would be liberating….

I think that if it makes you feel good, then why not! I haven’t done anything more than Lasik and laser hair removal (hey I have a laser theme!) and while my hair is unfortunately growing back (it’s been two years though.. hrmm) both of them were really worth it for me.

I bet your smile is gorgeous!

Oh, all for them! I’ve had braces so my teeth are just how I like them- but I’m all systems go on minor cosmetic surgery. I’ve never got anything done- and can’t imagine what I would get done… perhaps if I start getting wrinkly.

I have nothing to say about dentistry. The picture is charming.
