the tall fawn

« »

I have been working on a quick illustration as part of a larger series that I’m planning. I’ve gotten a lot down for just a few hours of work that I have put into this painting so far, but I’d like to move even faster. I hope to finish this in the next few days!

I feel like he’s staring straight into my soul.

Which isn’t necessarily a *bad* thing, albeit a bit unsettling from an illustrated fawn… I’ll chalk it up to the power of your talent :)

I should remind him that it’s not polite to stare, especially into souls.

Bambi sequel meets 50′s nuclear-enhanced horror flick! Fabulous!

Thanks for your comment on Shroomy Dunny… you should definitely do one, it’s loads of fun.

I really like that top drawing! Very nice. And I just realized that I’m mr. B, so thanks for that. :-)

Very nice. I like the perspective and the colors you are using. Nice to see your preliminary sketches leading up to the digital painting.

I was lazy initially and didn’t create a tighter sketch before starting to paint. It slowed me down in the long run. Oops, next time I’ll show better preliminary work!

Quite an evolution! The finished product looks great.
