baby portrait

I finally finished this painting after many months of working, reworking, debating, and reworking. This painting also was the inspiration for the new look and feel of tinavaziri.com.

I like how you played with different “application” approaches–from a painted look to mixing it up with “cut paper.” Really interesting.

Hi, I don’t know you (I’m a friend of Rosie’s) but I was just looking through and this is gorgeous!

The color contrast is so balanced throughout the whole thing, it never feels crowded even though there’s so much to look at. It has this great ‘found artwork’ quality to it, like you could have collected the textures from other sources and layered them all together.

You should make prints. For god damn serious =D
